What makes doXtop different to other platforms like Scribd?
doXtop is the only Web publishing platform - that is able to convert documents into full blown Websites. See the samples here:
Records Management Web2ClassZine Comics for kids Newsletter doXtop's base services are all for FREE - however there's a commercial version of doXtop - called
Hyper.Net - that you can purchase and implement in your company and organization. Hyper.Net integrates directly with document and content management systems - such as Microsoft SharePoint Server or the free Windows SharePoint services - and allows complete automation of all processes from authoring content to deployment in adequate formats to consumers.
Does doXtop support shared editing of documents?
Yes it does. You need to create what we call a
team site (it’s under My doXtop \ Team Sites). A team site allows you to create 1 or more document libraries - with or without versioning. A team site can contain folders and store documents. You can check out and edit documents and check them in again as new draft or version. And the best - you can invite other people - f.e. from a project team - to a team site - and this way all members of a team site can collaborate on documents (shared authoring). Of course you can publish documents from a team site if you want and deploy them in the Web. Any changes in the source will result in an update of the published content. last not least team sites come with a set of further team functions like a calendar, a task list or f.e. a discussion board.

Can I use doXtop for setting up ad-hoc extranets?
Yes you can. Setting up an extranet for "cross company projects" or geographically distributed people often is difficult and fails on organizational barriers. With doXtop it’s as easy as to click on "create team site". Of course you can limit the access to your team site to the team of authors you want to take part. And of course you can publish final content to your consumer community (open or closed) outside the team site. So whenever you have a need to collaborate on documents with distributed teams - use doXtop's team sites!
Can I use doXtop individually in my company or organization?
Yes you can. Our commercial version of doXtop is called
Hyper.Net. Just contact us - and let us know - what you need. We'll be happy to advice and support you. We have done a lot of professional Web sites, intranets, employee portals and other content related applications for recommended customers all over the world.
Does doXtop support flash?
Cause it does. Look at this sample here
Anniversary Newsletter . You get even a flash with a table of content - links to the PDF or to related publications. And last not least a link to the content presented as a Web site. All this is created automatically form the source file - which was in this case a "normal" Word file.

Can doXtop syndicate content with other platforms and social networks?
Yes it can. You can embed our flash into every application that allows to paste embed code (f.e. into a NING text box - see
My Page here in this network f.e.). But doXtop offers even more: We support the Open Social (a Google standard for exchanging data between social networks). With Open Social you can automatically syndicate doXtop publications with every social network that supports this interface (like NING -
see my profile in this network here ). By the way NING improved this interface and we'll come up soon with the enhanced version - which will allow you to put publications on the front page of your network (today it’s only possible to put it into your own profile). We also allow showing up dynamically created hit lists of publications queries via Open Social. So f.e. you can present in a NING network all astronomy publications of doXtop - and the list is always automatically updated.
