You can use doXtop for
blogging as well. You get fully featured publishing sites and you can create your content with standard word processors and office tool (you can alos use an HTML editor). You can publish content into your doXtop blog (we call it "Magazine") alone or within a team of authors.

Dear doXtop users
We want to inform you that our free social publishing platform
doXtop is temporarily not available. Our provider Strato (Germany Berlin) shut down our FrontEnd server with no warning on Friday 2pm CET due to a copyright complaint - that we didn't see yet.
We took immediate action - did everything Strato requested in this case - and hope to be back live soon.
We also will implement a solution that avoids this type of problem…

Ning users with the

Members with Flash version 10.x cannot publish
from NING with doXtop. The SELECT button does not function. However directly inside doXtop the publishuing works.
We will fix this problem in NING (OpenSocial) today/latest tomorrow!

Administrators can add a menu tab f.e.
Publications and connect it to a dynamic set of publications - which are even automatically updated. It is also possible to add sub menues and connect them each to specific topic or category. So f.e. you could have something like Science: Astronomy, Economy, Physics ...
