Let us know - if you need advice. doXtop can help you to collaborate (teachers/students) on documents of any kind - like books. lessopms, scripts, exercises and solutions, projects and more.
Hi Paul, yes it would be helpful to use a service in order to collaborate across participants at the same time. E.g. when I work on mindmapping with Service "Mindmeister" - each participant can add content with a different color. Teamworking is more than necessary when we are going to work in notebook-classes.
Service "doxtop" is on a good way! Thanks for that!
doXtop allows you to add any type of document and documentation and share it with others. I am not a teacher - but as far as I see - in a school context this could be f.e.:
* Lesson scripts * Books * Excercises & Solutions * Homework * Audio/Video material * link lists ...
All these informations could be organized and structured in Groups or Magazines.
Today in doXtop there's a limitation: You cannot really collaborate on documents. So its not possible that f.e. person A edits and publishes a document - and person B checks it out and enhances it ...
But we do this in our commercial projects all the time - we only need to bring this functionality into doXtop and make it easy to use. And we plan this for Q1 / 2009. With the team sites that we will implement for this - the following will be possible:
* Checkin/CheckOut of documents through different users (if the have the rights)
* Review - peer-to.peer review (so f.e. teachers can review/check homework ...)
* versioning
* approval of documents
* publishing of documents
We will also include functions/moduls for
* Calendaring
* Tasks
* Discussion
* Surveys
